The West have beaten the East 196-173 in the annual NBA All-Star game.

The game was the highest scoring NBA All-Star game ever.

Paul George scored a game high 41 points for the East, while Russell Westbrook scored 31 points for the West and has eight rebounds in his second straight All-Star MVP performance.

Kobe Bryant chimed in with 10 points for the West in his 18th and last NBA All-Star game. Bryant checked out of the game with 1.06 left on the clock in the fourth quarter to rapturous applause form his teammates, opponents and fans.

The combined 369 points easily surpassed the previous record of 321 set last year and both sides overtook the previous highest team scores of 163 points.
