Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments over the past week, firstly wrapping up the constructors championship in Austin and now, even though he was lapped by race leader max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton has become the 2017 World Drivers Champion with two races still to run.

“Lewis Hamilton is the 2017 Formula One World Drivers' Champion! After a hard-fought, nail-biting battle for the top spot in the Drivers' standings, Lewis has secured the title in Mexico with two races left to go,” they said in a statement. “It's been an unbelievable seven days for the Silver Arrows, taking the Constructors' crown in Austin and wrapping up the week in Mexico City by completing the clean sweep.”
