Tensions continue to rise between Golden State's star duo Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, with Durant dropping a potential bombshell about his NBA future.

The ongoing rift originated from Green's decision to not pass the ball to Durant on the final play of regulation, turning the ball over which led to Golden State losing to the Clippers in overtime on Tuesday (AEST).

The pair could be seen arguing about the incident on the bench, and footage has surfaced which shows Durant appearing to murmur “that's why I'm out”, to himself.

The video has raised many questions about Durant's future at the Warriors, given the star forward will become a free agent at the end of the season.

Following the on-court bust up, the fight continued into the locker room, where Green brought up Durant's free agency and reportedly called him a “bitch”.

Greens behaviour landed him a one-game suspension, as his behaviour was “detrimental to the team”, which caused him to miss Golden State's win over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday (AEST).

When asked about Greens Suspension in the post-game interview, Durant declined to say whether he was surprised.

“I was just focused on the game,” he said. “I didn't really care either way”.

“With what was said, there is already no way Durant is coming back," one player, who was granted anonymity told The Athletic.

“The only hope is that they can say this summer, ‘See, KD. We've got your back. We protected you from Draymond.'”

However, head coach Steve Kerr sounded more positive after the team's win yesterday.

“I think we'll be fine. We're a team that goes through stuff, just like everybody else”. He said.
