The Phoenix Suns have emerged as a suitor for Oklahoma veteran Chris Paul, as the Thunder remain open to shipping their star point guard, per ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

Paul has been long-linked to a move away from the Thunder as he plans to earn a championship ring before calling time on his career.

Paul has been attached to moves with the Knicks, Bucks and Lakers in 2020, with the Suns now the new franchise in play.

In a move similar to the departures of Paul George and Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma have turned their attention to a major rebuild despite making the playoffs this year.

Paul averaged 17.6 points and 6.7 assists last season and remains to have two years remaining on his current deal.

Across the next two years, Paul is set to earn a total of $117 million AUD.
