New York Knicks 117 def Boston Celtics 109

The Celtics fell short at home today against the Knicks, losing by eight points. Boston were trailing at the end of each quarter but put up a 40-33 performance to bring it back, but could not run over the top.

Aaron Baynes started for the Celtics but only played 12 minutes, finishing with only one assist and one rebound, shooting 0-2 from the field and 0-2 from the 3-point line.

Philadelphia 76ers 121 def New Orleans Pelicans 120

The 76ers managed to hold off the Pelicans by one point in their win at home today. Philly  ended the first quarter with a 15 point-lead but the Pelicans managed to reduce the margin before the half, outscoring the 76ers 34-29.

Heading into the fourth Philly had a nine-point lead but the game remained competitive up until the final seconds when Pelicans star Anthony Davis missed the final free-throw shot to seal Philly's victory.

Ben Simmons played a total of 35 minutes, finishing with 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, shooting at 50% from the field.

The Sixers are now 10-0 at home this season.

Memphis Grizzlies 104 def San Antonio Spurs 103

In another close game today the Grizzlies climbed to the West's number one seed after defeating the Spurs by one point. The scores remained tight until the end of the third quarter when the Grizzlies managed to secure at 10-point lead heading into the fourth. The Spurs put up a 26-23 last quarter performance but fell short in the end, with LaMarcus Aldridge missing a three pointer in the final play to win the game.

Patty Mills put up 15 points, two rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes off the bench.

Milwaukee Bucks 143 def Portland Trailblazers 100

The Bucks swept Portland by 43 points in today's game at home. The Bucks led at the end of every term, stretching the lead to 22 points at half time. By the end of the third the Bucks had the game well under control with a 30 point lead going into the fourth.

Australian teammates Thon Maker and Matthew Dellavedova both came off the bench playing 21 and 11 minutes respectivley. Maker finished with 11 points and eight rebounds, while Dellavedova only managed 2 points and 4 assists.

Sacramento Kings 119 def Utah Jazz 110

The Kings started off strong and remained in control for the duration of the game, edging out Utah by nine points to get the win.

Joe Ingles played 37 minutes finishing with 12 points three rebounds and seven assists. Teammate Dante Exum came off the bench playing 14 minutes and scoring four points.

Brooklyn Nets 113 def Dallas Mavericks 119

The Mavs outdueled the Nets at home to improve to 8-9 on the season, while Brooklyn fell to 8-11.

Ryan Broekhoff saw nine minutes off the bench for Dallas but did not maximise his opportunity, recording just one rebound.
