Australian rookie Thon Maker has had a rough start to his first NBA pre-season by suffering a wrist injury in the Milwaukee Bucks’ first day of training camp.

The 7’1 (216cm), 19-year-old left the team’s training camp in Madison, Wisconsin, and was sent back to team headquarters in Milwaukee for tests, the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal reported on Wednesday (Thursday AEST).

Maker was expected to return to the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, where the team has set up camp.
