Australia has lost a thrilling Las Vegas Sevens final against Fiji going down 21-15.

The Aussies blew a 15-point lead at half time, conceding three unanswered tries to go down to the Flying Fijians.

Fiji took the lead for the first time in the match with less than two minutes left to play when Savenaca Rawaca finished off a length of the field effort to score his nation's third try of the second half. The 110m try coming after former Wallaby Quade Cooper lost the ball a metre short of the line.

With seconds left on the clock, Cooper had the chance to go from villain to hero as he attempted to create something out wide for his outside backs but threw a forward pass, with the movement all but ending Australia's hopes of victory as Fiji won the resulting scrum and ran the ball into touch.
