The San Antonio Spurs have put the hammer down on the undermanned Memphis Grizzlies through two games in their first-round playoff series with Australia's own Patty Mills playing a starring role in the 94-68 win.

A game after holding Memphis to 74 points in Monday's victory, San Antonio held the Grizzlies to a franchise-low 68 points on 32.6 percent (28 of 86) from the floor in Game 2 Tuesday night.

In two games of the best-of-seven series, the Spurs are giving up just 71 points on average, while posting an average margin of victory of 29 points per game on their way to a commanding 2-0 lead.

Patty Mills scored a game-high 16 points off the bench and Kawhi Leonard, who won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award on Tuesday, finished with 13 points to go with a pair of steals and a block in 27 minutes.

The Spurs have now won seven straight and 22 of the last 26 meetings with the Grizzlies.

Game 3 is Saturday morning with tip-off at 11:30am AEST. The game can be watched on ESPN.
