Kyrie Irving has parted with long-time agent Jeff Wechsler just weeks ahead of free agency per Adrian Wojnarowski.

He then signed with ROC Nation, agency owned by Jay-Z, rap mogul and former part owner of the Brooklyn Nets.

These reports further stoke the flames of rumors that he will not re-sign with the Boston Celtics and join the Brooklyn Nets. Irving just recently declined his player option in with the Boston Celtics making him and unrestriced free agent.

The Nets recently traded Allen Crabbe to the Atlanta Hawks getting themselves off his salary and opening up two max salary spots. This allows them to sign Irving and another max free agent, something only the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers could previously do.

Wechsler had represented Irving since he was drafted first overall out of Duke in the 2011 NBA Draft. He negotiated some of the largest national marketing campaigns including the 'Uncle Drew' Pepsi commercials and during the time has had one of the most successful signature shoes in the NBA.

The free agency period opens at the end of this month.
