Ben Simmons has reportedly been informed by the Philadelphia 76ers that they will select him with the No.1 pick.

The Australian has been one of the standouts in College basketball this year, gaining high praise from all sectors of the basketball community.

There has been conjecture over whether he will be selected at pick No.1 by 76ers, or pick No.2 by the LA Lakers, but it now seems that he will be a Philadelphia player.

Cleveland.com's Chris Haynes has reported that the 76ers have told Simmonds of their intentions to pick him with the first pick in the draft.

Simmons then later posted an Instagram picture showing him training  with the 76ers, with the caption, "Trust the process," which is the club's mantra.
